Education

Prof. Dr. Nicolae Păun gained his Bachelor's Degree in History in 1978, at Babes-Bolyai University. Later, in 1991 Păun obtained a PhD in History from Babes-Bolyai University.

Academic career

Since 1996, Prof. Dr. Paun has been a University professor for the Faculty of European Studies at Babes-Bolyai University. From 1992 to 1995 he worked as a Chancellor at the Faculty of European Studies, Babes-Bolyai University, coordinating and preparing the Faculty's Teaching Council and also editing Studia Economica Review. From 1995 to 2003 Prof. Dr. Nicolae Paun was Dean of the Faculty of European Studies. In 2000 he began coordinating PhD students in Contemporary History, International Relations and European Studies. From 2007 on he is the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of European Studies, Babes-Bolyai University.
