Panagiotis Mitarachi
Panagioti Mitarachi was born in Athens in 1972. He is a Greek economist and politician, elected as a Member of Parliament for A’ Athens, with New Democracy, for the first time at the May 6th, 2012 elections.
Political Career
Panagioti Mitarachi is member of the Political Assembly of the European People's Party (EPP) since 2011.Since 2012 he has held the position of alternate Governor in the Boards of Governors of the Group of World Bank and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). At the same time he still holds the position of Governor to the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank since 2012. He has served as Alternate Head of Economic Policy of the New Democracy Political Party for the period 2010-2012, Regional Councillor for Attica for the period 2011-2012.He also served as Chairman of the Hellenic Bankers Association, member of the Board of Directors of the CFA Society of the United Kingdom and member of the Board of Trustees of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain.
Education Career
He is graduate of the American College of Greece in Business Administration. Subsequently, he did his MSc in Industrial Relations in University of Oxford.He also speaks English and French.
Notable Work
In 2005 he was deemed the best analyst in the retail sector in Europe (Thomson Extel Survey).He was president of the Hellenic Bankers of Great Britain, and member of the Board British Society of Certified Economic Analyst. He was awarded the Cross of St Mark & A. Taxiarchi the Apostle & Evangelist Mark (Patriarchate of Alexandria) under His Beatitude Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, Theodore B.
