Antonio Julián Rodríguez Esquerdo, born in Barakaldo (Basque Country) on the 29th July 1962, is a Spanish senator instated to the Basque Parliament for the 10th term. He is a member of the Socialist Worker’s Party (PSOE).

Political Career[edit]

Antonio Julián Rodríguez Esquerdo was elected as senator for the first time in the current term. During this term, he is acting as second vice-president for the Constitutional Commission and as member of other commissions such as the Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Commission or the Justice Commission. Before becoming a senator, Antonio Julián Rodríguez Esquerdo had also been councillor and mayor of the city of Barakaldo in five different terms. At the regional level he is Proxy of the General Assemblies of Bizkaia since 2011.

Antonio Julián Rodríguez Esquerdo has a degree in Law.
