Augustín Hambálek

Augustín Hambálek (born on the 16th of July, 1957 in Trnava) is a Slovak Politician, who is member of the Slovak National Council. He stood a seat for SMER-SD and is the Vice-President of the region Trnava.

Political career[edit]

From 1990 until 1992 Hambálek was the Deputy Head of the Municipality of Trnava and member of the City Council of Trnava. In 2001 he was elected as a member of SMER-SD for the coalition. In 2002 he became the Deputy Chairman of the region Trnava and he held this position until 2006. Since 2010 is the Vice-President of the region Trnava and since 2012 is member of the Parliament. Hambálek currently is member of SMER – SD, member of the Committee on Defence and Security and also Vice-Chairman of the Special Control Committee for the Control of Activities of the National Security Authority.

Education[edit]

In 1981 he graduated at the Faculty of Economics Management of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislavaa nd owns the academic title (Ing.)
