Maria Celeste Lopes da Silva Correia was born on October 8th, 1948. She is actually a retired teacher.

Political Career

Besides being the secretary of the Bureau of the Assembly of the Republic, Celeste Correia is also a member of the National Policy Committee of the Socialist Party. This is her seventh mandate as a deputy at the National Parliament for Socialist Party, since she started her activity on the 6th legislature (1991-11-04). She takes actually part of two parliamentary committees (Foreign Affairs and Portuguese Communities; European Affairs).

Education

Celeste Correia holds a Bachelor degree in Romanic Philology.
