Darina Gabániová

Darina Gabániová (born on the 20th of August in 1955) is a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic. He is member of the political party SMER-SD for Bratislava.

Political career

In 2002 Darina Gabániová was elected to the National Council of the Slovak Republic for the political party SMER-SD and became a Member of the Committee on Education, Science, Sports and Youth, Culture and Media. In the 2006 elections she was re-elected to the National Council of the Slovak Republic and became the Vice-President of the Committee for Human Rights and the Status of Women and a Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Conflicts of Interest. In 2010, she once again became a Member of the National Council for the political party SMER-SD. Since that time she has also been the Verifier of the Parliamentary Committee on Health and a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Conflicts of Interest.

Currently she is a member of the SMER-SD party and of the Foreign Affairs committee. She is also the Verifier of the committee for the Review of Decisions of the National Security Authority and Substitute in the Permanent Delegation of the Slovak Parliament to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Education

Darina Gabániová graduated in 1978 from the Faculty of Medicine at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Since 1990 she has been a lecturer in the Department of Preclinical Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine in Bratislava. She also owns the academic title PhD.
