Dimas Antonio Sañudo Aja
Dimas Antonio Sañudo Aja, born 29 November 1959, is a Spanish senator representing the Spanish province of Bizkaia in the 10th Congress of Deputies. Sañudo Aja is a member of the Basque wing of the Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party, Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE). In the Spanish Senate, this political party, Partido Socialista de Euskadi-Euskadiko Ezkerra (PSOE) (PSE-EE/PSOE) they are within the Parliamentary Socialist Group, Grupo Parlamentario Socialista (GPS).
Political Career[edit]
Sañudo Aja began his political career as a councillor in the city of Bilbao in 1987, a position he held until 1999. That year, he was appointed opposition spokesman, a position he occupied until 2004. Nowadays, he is an alternate member within the Senate Permanent Delegation, the spokesman for the Committee on Foreign Affairs and a member of the General Committee of the Autonomous Communities.
