Elżbieta Wite

Elżbieta Witek – (born on 17th December 1957 in Jawor, Poland) – is a Polish politician, a teacher and a Member of Parliament (V,VI, VII term).

Political Career[edit]

In 1980, she became a member of the “Solidarity" party. In 1982 she was remanded in custody for three months for political activities, then dismissed. Since 2002 she sat on the city council in Jawor. In the elections of 2005 she was appointed as a Member of Parliament (V term) in Legnica district. She was reelected in 2007 and 2011. In November 2011 was chosen by the council of political PiS as a member of political committee of the party.

Education[edit]

In 1980 she graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy and History at the University of Wrocław. Then she worked as a teacher and director of a school in Jawor.
