Giampaolo Galli

Giampaolo Galli (March 13, 1951) is an Italian economist and politician.

Political career[edit]

He was first elected to the Italian Chamber of Deputies in 2013 for Partito Democratico, serving as a member of the Balance, Treasury and Planning Commission and taking part in the Government's Acts Special Analysis Commission.

Education[edit]

He obtained a diploma from high school focusing on the humanities, then he gained a degree in Political Economics at Bocconi University. He also obtained a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from MIT.

Notable works[edit]

He worked together with Franco Modigliani and Robert Solow on risk theory and financial systems.
