Józef Racki

Józef Racki – (born on 28th March 1943 in Mdzewko, Poland) is a Polish politician, a local government official, engineer, surveyor and, since 2007, a Member of Parliament (VI and VII term).

Political Career[edit]

In 1965 he joined the United People's Party (Zjednoczone Stronnictwo Ludowe). In the 80s he was a member of the National Council of the City of Kalisz. From 1984 to 1996 he served as the provincial surveyor, then until 1998, he served as Chief Surveyor. In 1999-2002 he was deputy chief of the district of Kalisz, then until 2007 he was the Deputy Speaker of Wielkopolska region. From 2006 he was also a councillor of the regional council.

In the parliamentary elections in 2007 he was elected to Parliament (VI term) as a member of the Polish People’s Party (Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe). In the elections in 2011 he successfully applied for re-election.

Education[edit]

He graduated from the University of Agriculture and Technology in Olsztyn.
