Jacek Żalek

Jacek Żalek – (born on 13th January1973 in Białystok, Poland) – is a Polish politician, official of a local government, and a Member of Parliament (VI and VII term).

Political Career[edit]

In 1998-2006 he was a member of the city council of Bialystok. In 2001 he became president of the Convocation Conservative federation, as well as the national chairman of the audit committee of the Covenant of Right. In 2002 he was reelected to the Council of Bialystok. In 2003 he joined the association of the Christian Movement of Local Government, sitting on its council as a chief. In 2004 he became a member of the Union of Real Politics. In 2006 as a member of the Law and Justice he was elected alderman of the regional council for the Podlasie region. He then moved to the Civic Platform and was again a councillor for the province after being elected in the early elections in May 2007. From 2000 to 2008 he was a member of the Conservative-Monarchist Club. In 2007 he was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Civic Platform list.

Education[edit]

In 2001 he graduated in Law from the University of Białystok.
