Jadwiga Teresa Hoppe (born. September 13, 1947 in Kowalewo, Poland) - She worked as vice president of Kashubian-Pomeranian Association, and as a member of the parliament of the seventh term.

Political Career[edit]

In 1980, she became a member of "Solidarity.” Later on she cooperated with the Committee of Citizens. In the first half of the 80s she joined the Kashubian-Pomeranian Association. She was involved in the reactivation of Gdynia branch associations. In 2010, she was a candidate for the post of president of the Kashubian-Pomeranian Association, losing to Lukasz Grzędzickim. She held various positions in the management bodies of the organization. She also became the Vice President for the 2011-2013 term. She was involved in the promotion of the Kashubian folklore as well as initiated the establishment of the Cultural Centre of the Kashubian-Pomeranian and the issuance of local publications and activities for the promotion of Kashubian. In the parliamentary elections in 2011, she was a nonpartisan candidate of the Civic Platform list in the district of Gdynia. She was elected a Member of Parliament. She was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit in 2006.

Education[edit]

In 1979 she graduated from the Faculty of Horticulture, Agricultural University in Poznan. In 1991 she obtained a master's degree in theology at the Warsaw Academy of Catholic Theology. She also completed a postgraduate program in journalism at the School of Social Communication in Gdynia.
