Keohane, Robert

Keohane, Robert (October 3, 1941 -)

An American academic who gained immense popularity for his book, After Hegemony: Cooperation and Discord in the world Political Economy (1984). Keohane is widely associated with the theory of neoliberal institutionalism in international relations. He was listed as the most influential scholar in this discipline in a 2005 Foreign Policy poll. Keohane has served as the editor of International Organization and president of the International Studies Association and American Political Science Association. Currently he is a Professor of International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University . His other works include Power and Interdependence in a Partially Globalized World (2002), Humanitarian Intervention: Ethical, Legal, and Political Dilemmas (2003), and The Regime Complex for Climate Change (2010).
