Stella Kyriakides was born in Nicosia in 1956. She is a Greek/Cypriot politician and clinical child psychologist.

Political Career[edit]

Stella Kyriakides is a representative of Nicosia constituency under the banner of DISY since 2006. She served as President of the Europa Donna European Breast Cancer Coalition for the period 2004-2006. She serves as President of the Europa Donna Cyprus Breast Cancer Forum since 2000, as Member of the DISY Political Bureau and of the DISY Supreme Council since 2006. Moreover she serves as DISY Commissioner for Family and Juvenile Deliquency Affairs since 2008, as DISY Commissioner for Health Affairs since 2009. Last but not least , she serves as Vice-president of DISY since May 2013.


Education[edit]

Stella Kyriakides graduated in Psychology (University of Reading, United Kingdom), she got a MA in Psychology (University of Manchester, United Kingdom) and Child Psychology (Institute of Psychiatry in London). She held seminars and training courses on the psychological effects of cancer and leukaemia on children and adolescents, on violence in the family, on learning disabilities on children and on liaison psychiatry in general childrens’ hospital and she is a trainer on breast cancer patients’ matters and patients’ rights in european organisations.
