Manfred Grund
Manfred Grund, born July 3rd 1955, in Zeitz (East Germany) he is a German politician (CDU). He has been in the CDU/CSU parliamentary group since 1998 as the Parliamentary Secretary.
Political career[edit]
In January 1990 Grund became a member of the CDU. From 1994 to 2001 he was Deputy Chairman of the CDU District Association and since 2013 Chairman of the CDU - City Association of Heiligenstadt. Since 1998 he was a member of the CDU Regional Executive in Thuringia. In 1994 he was a member of the German Bundestag; there he became a member of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group.

Grund holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Dresden.
