María Olga Iglesias Fontal

María Olga Iglesias Fontal, born 15 April 1971 in Triacastela, Luga, is a member of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies representing the Spanish province of Lugo, Galicia. Iglesias Fontal is a member of the People’s Party, Partido Popular (PP) and she is a member of the People’s Party Parliamentary Group, Grupo Popular (GP) within the Chamber of Deputies.

Political Career

María Olga Iglesias Fontal has been an MP for the People’s Party from Lugo, during the IX and the X legislatures. Previously she was a civil servant, the Xunta of Galicia and the mayor of Triacastela (Lugo), and the President of the PP of Triacastela. Nowadays in the Chamber of Deputies, Iglesias Fontal is a member of the Commission of Public Works, the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Environment, a deputy spokesperson of the Commission on Health and Social Services and an alternate member of the Subcommittee and analysis study of the Spanish rail system.

Education

María Olga Iglesias Fontal has a Ph.D.in Veterinary Medicine.Thus, she is a member of the Galician Academy of Veterinary Sciencies.
