Martina Banić was born on 1 May 1980 in Zagreb, Croatia. She is a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski Sabor) and a member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ; Croatian: Hrvatska Demokratska Zajednica).

Political Career[edit]

Banić's parliamentary mandate began in December 2011 and her parliamentary funcions consist of being a member of the Committee on the Family, Youth and Sports, Education, Science and Culture Committee, the Elections, Appointments and Administration Committee, and the Gender Equality Committee. Previously, she was a member of the Inter-parliamentary Co-operation Committee and the Committee on Information, Computerisation and the Media. Most notably, she was a chairperson of The Youth of the Croatian Democratic Union (Croatian: Mladež Hrvatske demokratske zajednice) during 2011 and 2012.

Education[edit]

Banić graduated from the Centre of Croatian Studies in Zagreb, majoring in journalism.
