Paloma Inés Sanz Jerónimo

Paloma Inés Sanz Jerónimo, born in Segovia, is a Spanish senator representing the Spanish province of Segovia, in Castilla y León in the 10th Congress of Deputies. Sanz Jerónimo is a member of the Spanish People’s Party, Partido Popular (PP).

Political Career

Sanz Jerónimo began her political career as the Executive Councillor for Health and Social Services on the city council of Segovia in 1999, position she held until 2003. From 2003 to 2011 she was the Secretary for Equal Opportunities of the Regional Executive of Castilla y León. She has been a Deputy Secretary of Organization of PP in Segovia since 2007. Since 1999 she has been a member of the Executive Regional Committe of the PP of Castilla y León, and since 2006 she has been a member of the Executive of the National Committee of Women’s Equality. Since 2003 she has been an attorney in the Courts of Castilla y León. Nowadays, in the Spanish Senate, Sanz Jerónimo is the First Secretary of the Committee on Environment and Climate Change. She is also a member of the Committee on Industry, Energy and Toursim and of the Joint Committee for the Study of Drug Problems.


Education

Paloma Inés Sanz Jerónimo has a degree in Social Work.
