Paris Hilton was born on the 17th February 1981 and is an American socialite, actress and entertainer. She is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton. Hilton first began modelling when she was signed to Donal Trump’s modelling agency T Management and has since worked in reality television, modelling, fashion, film and the music industry. She first gained recognition in the reality television series The Simple Life with Nicole Richie and was voted “New York’s leading It Girl” in 2001. Her endorsements earn her the majority of her income, reportedly earning $1.5 billion. She owns 44 Paris Hilton stores worldwide, with products such as perfumes, handbags, watches and footwear. She earns over $10 million a year from product sales and was paid $300,000 for appearances at clubs and events.

Paris Hilton has appeared in numerous films and reality TV shows promoting both American and international culture. She has worked with a number of charitable organisations which donate and encourage cultural dialogue.

Humanitarian Causes[edit]

Paris Hilton is a great supporter of a number of charities including; GRAMMY Foundation, Cathy’s Kids Foundation, ACT for MS and Education Africa among others. She is an avid supporter of animal rights, declaring that she “never wears fur and has stopped eating meat”. Paris Hilton is also involved with children's charities, visiting many children's hospitals and working for children's charities, with particular focus on multiple sclerosis and AIDS.

Philanthropic Donations[edit]

Paris Hilton is an avid believer of fundraising and offers her support to numerous charitable causes. Once a year the Hilton family donate their clothing to charity and often host parties, giving the donations and profits to charity.

Notable Actions[edit]

On June the 6th 2014 it was announced that Paris Hilton was launching a fundraising campaign for the American Humane Association. Paris Hilton partnered with the charitable fundraising platform Prizeo, giving donors and interested parties an opportunity to win a chance to meet her on the set of a magazine photo shoot.
