A Project by Deng Wei[edit]

In 2004 the famous Chinese photographer Deng Wei -pioneer of portrait photography of celebrities- held the exhibition “Peace Portraits” in New York, in the United Nations Headquarters. He focused on the promotion of peace, harmonious coexistence and collaborative development for all mankind. The world's celebrity portraits displayed include political personalities like George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Yitzhak Rabin, Henry Kissinger, Mainza Chona, but also eminent cultural figures such as Chinese American architecture Leoh Ming Pei, the explorer Levy Arnason, English sculptor Elisabeth Frink, Canadian photographer Yousuf Karsh
