Pedro Delgado Alves

Pedro Filipe Mota Delgado Simões Alves was born on December 12th, 1980. He is a university professor and currently serves as a deputy at the Portuguese National Assembly.

Political Career

He was elected by the electoral circle of Lisbon through the Socialist Party to serve as a deputy on the XII Legislature (2011-2015). He holds several important positions in the Socialist Party as Member of the National Commission and as Member of the Secretariat. He is also Vice-President of the English Speaking Union-Portugal. In addition, he takes part in several Parliamentary Commissions including the Commission for Education, Science and Culture and is an alternate in the Commissions for European Affairs and for the Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Liberties and Guarantees.

Education

He is a law graduate and is pursuing a PhD in Juridical-Political Sciences.

Pedro Delgado Alves served as a Member for the ECOSY – Young European Socialists from 2006 to 2011.
