Tom Barry is the Fine Gael Teachta Dála for Cork East. He lives in Killavullen, Mallow Co. Cork and is married to Dr. Kathy Quane (lecturer at the College of Medicine and Health, University College Cork) with whom he has three young children.

Career[edit]

Tom Barry is a Biochemist by profession. He established a grain drying and warehousing business in 1995 "TBWAREHOUSING" and now has 7 full time and 3 part time staff. Tom was first elected to Cork County Council in 2009 before being elected to the Dáil in 2011. Tom ran his own business before entering politics and works hard to support local enterprise.

Other Interests[edit]

Tom supports the work of the Irish Guidedog Association in his home town of Mallow by fundraising on its behalf. A huge soccer fan, Tom goes to see Manchester United play at least once a year. He enjoys spending time in West Cork and holidays in Rosscarbery every year.
