Nicos Tornaritis was born in Nicosia in 1964. He is a Greek/Cypriot politician and lawyer.

Political Career

Nicos Tornaritis is a representative of Nicosia constituency under the banner of DISY since 2001. He served as Member of the DISY Youth Organisation (NEDISY),Member of the board of the Cyprus State Fair Authority for the period 1994-2000,President of the Nicosia District Financial Management Committee of DISY for the period 1995-1999 and DISY Commissioner for the Environment and Sustainable Development from 2001 to 2005. He was Honorary Consul of Kenya in Cyprus,DISY Commissioner for Educational Affairs and Co-ordinator of the Culture and Athletics Sector,Member of the Executive Bureau, of the Political Bureau and of the Supreme Council of DISY, and Vice-president of DISY, with special responsibility for the Party’s communication planning.

Education

Nicos Tornaritis graduated in Law (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and Political Science (John Fitzgerald Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University).He speaks English.
