Winterton, Rosie
Ms Rosie Winterton MP is a member of parliament for the constituency of Doncaster Central, she is a member of the Labour Party and has been in office since 1997.
Biography[edit]
Rosie Winterton was born in 1958 in Doncaster. She was educated at Doncaster Grammar School and Hull University, where she received a BA Hons in History.
Political Career[edit]
Rosie was head of Office for John Prescott MP, Deputy Leader of the Labour Party from 1994-97. She has been the Member of Parliament for Doncaster Central since 1997 and was Minister of State for Local Government, Minister of State for Regional Economic Development and Co-ordination and Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber.
Rosie was appointed Opposition Chief Whip in September 2010.
