Bertrand Auban

Bertrand Auban was born in 1947. He is a member of the Senate of France representing the Socialist Group. He was a member of the Superior Council for Military Reserves, member of the Orientation Council of Retired People, and Mayor of Eup.

He was elected in 1998 and re-elected in 2008 for the constituency of Haute-Garonne.

Political Career[edit]

He is the Vice-President of the Socialist Group and the President of the Socialist Group's General Council of Haute-Garonne. Bertrand Auban is also a member of the Commission on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces, a member of the Study Board on Aviation, Electronic Communications and Post, Alimentary Agricultural Economy, Fungi-culture, Forests, Economic Development for the Mountainous Regions, Arctic, Southern and Antarctic Lands, Tourism and Leisure Activities, Vines and Wine, member of the French Group for Inter-parliamentary Union (U.I.P.), and a member of the Monitoring Commission on Funds for Retirement.
