Irena Grošelj Košnik

Irena Grošelj Košnik (born January 27, 1957) is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the Party of Miro Cerar (Slovenian: Stranka Mira Cerarja - SMC).

Political Career[edit]

She was elected to the National Assembly in July 2014.

Professional Career[edit]

She worked as a psychologist in the field of human resources and organization in the years 1981-1989. From 1990 till 2014, she was the Director of the Center for Social Work Trbovlje. Apart from her full time job, she held trainings and workshops for teachers; in 2006 she also held lectures and workshops for participants in the European program Eqal and the closing international conference Egual - for equal opportunities for women in the economy. Since 2006 she worked as a supervisor for practitioners in the field of social protection, for teachers and phone consultants.

Education[edit]

Irena Grošelj Košnik graduate in psychology at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana in 1981 and she finished her postgraduate specialist study of psychological counseling in 2003.
