Jabar Amin

Jabar Amin was born on the 1st of June 1949 in Kurdistan. He is a member of the swedish parliament representing the Green Party. He is the spokesperson for the party about questions regarding education.

Political Career[edit]

Jabar Amin started his political career as a member of the Social Democrat Party. He was also a boardmember in the swedish migration organisation. He joined the Green Party in 1998 and has since then been a deputy in the board of the party until 2004. It was in 2010 that he became a member of parliament. Before he became a member of parliament he was the CEO of "Antidiskrimineringsbyrån", which is a organisation working against discrimination based in Umeå, Sweden. Jabar Amin participated in the Ship to Gaza 2011.

Education[edit]

Jabar Amin came as a refugee to Sweden in his early twenties. He started to study mathematics at the University of Umeå for 3 years. Amin also has a PhD in political science.
