Jarosław Zieliński

Jarosław Zieliński was born on 20th September 1960 in Szwajcaria, Poland. He is a Polish politician and member of Parliament (IV, V, VI and VII cadency).

Political Career[edit]

Between 1992 and 2000 Jarosław Zieliński was a member on the board of the the main Agreement Center. Since 2001 he works for the Law and Justice committee, as a member of the main board of the Law and Justice party chaired by the ethics committee. In 2003 he was elected to Parliament for the fourth term. He was vice-chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Education, Science and Youth. In the 2005 elections he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the V term in the Bialystok district. In 2005 he was appointed Secretary of State for the Ministry of Education and Science, but he resigned on the 6th May 2006. From 31 May 2006 to 20 November 2007 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration and the Government Plenipotentiary for Local Government. In the parliamentary elections of 2007, he won a parliamentary seat for the third time. He became the Vice-President of Administration and Home Affairs. In 2011, he was a candidate on the list for the electoral committee PiS in the parliamentary elections and obtained a parliamentary seat. In the elections to the European Parliament in 2014 he ran for a seat on Law and Justice.

Education[edit]

In 1986 he graduated in Polish philology from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Gdansk. After graduating he worked as a teacher.
