Jesús Ramón Aguirre

Jesús Aguirre Muñoz was born in Córdoba ( Spain) on August the 29th, 1955 and is a senator to the People's Party in Córdoba.

Education[edit]

He studied medicine at the University of Córdoba and specialised in Family and Community medicine (1987).

Political Career[edit]

Mr. Aguirre Muñoz was the delegate of the Personal Committee of Córdoba ( 1996-2003). Vice-president of the Medical Union of Cordoba (1998-20019. President of the Official School of Doctors and its Foundation in Córdoba (2002-2006).Representative from the General Council of Doctors in the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs in the working group for the creation of an Integral Plan of measures aiming at controlling and rationalising pharmaceutical spending. Member of the Budget's Committee of the the Official School of Doctors. President of the Professional Union in Cordoba (2005-2006). Counsellor and member of the board of management of the Social Council of the city council of Cordoba and the President of the Health and Security Commission from the same Council (2005-2006). Member of the technical Commission of the Health and Consumer Affairs Ministry during the bird flu crisis. Vice-president of the School of Doctors' General Council (2006). Vice-president from the Training Foundation of the WHO. Mr. Aguirre Muñoz has also contributed to science with more than 50 articles in the last 5 years and has been a speaker in multiple seminars, courses and conferences.

Awards[edit]

Gold medal from the Official School of Doctors in Córdoba. Azahar Prize from the Official School of Doctors in Málaga. Honorary member of the Artistic and Literary School in Córdoba.
