José Blas Fernández Sánchez

José Blas Fernández Sánchez was born in Cádiz on December 15, 1947. He is currently a member of the Spanish Senate within the People’s Party (PP).

Political Career[edit]

Sánchez was elected as a Parliamentarian in the Senate from the Province of Cadiz in the Legislatures VII and VIII, and was also Deputy Speaker in the Finance Committee, member and Deputy Speaker in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and Commission on the Prevention of Occupational Risks. In the Legislature VIII, he became the Deputy Speaker of the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs, member of the Justice Committee and member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. He has participated in several presentations to make various pieces of legislation, being speaker of the following Bills: "Draft Law on urgent tax measures to encourage household savings and small and medium enterprises are approved", "Bill reform of the Law 39/1988, of December 28, Regulating Local schools "," Bill Heritage of Public Administration "," Bill provisions on Social Security "," Bill budgets "and" Finance Act and Social Security Act (Accompaniment) « . Sánchez became the Rapporteur of the Draft Bill for the inclusion of the Self-Employed in the Economic and Social Council "(CES), Statute Law Self-Employed Workers Law, Reform Social Security Bill State Budget from 1996-2007. He is also a member of the Committee for the Commemoration of the Centenary of the Birth of Social Security in Spain, a direct appointment by the Minister of Labour.

Education[edit]

He attended the Social Graduate College at the University of Granada and received a Bachelor of Labour Studies from the International University of Catalonia, a technician in Industrial Relations from the University of Alcalá de Henares, and a Diploma in Labour Procedure Partner Work and Auditor by the University of Cádiz.
