Jose Antonio Griñán Martínez, born in Madrid on the 7th June 1946, is a current Spanish senator for the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. He is a member of the Socialist Worker’s Party.

Political Career[edit]

Jose Antonio Griñán Martínez is a Spanish politician with a long career and vast experience. Before becoming a senator, he was also a national deputy in 3 different terms and also the minister of Work and Social Welfare. During the current term, he is acting as second vice-president of the Autonomous Communities Commission. At the regional level he was elected twice as President of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia. Inside the PSOE he is now the current president of the national section of his party.

Before his political career, he was working as work superintendent. (Not specified degrees or another superior education).
