María Josefa Nicolás Martínez

María Josefa Nicolás Martínez is a Spanish politician and member of the People’s Party (PP). She was born in Murica in October 8th, 1967. She is currently serving as a Senator at the Senate of Spain after being elected by Murcia in the 2011 general elections.

Political Career[edit]

Since 1992 she has been the president of the People’s Party in Puente Tocinos. She served as a councillor at the city council of Murcia from 1995 to 1999. From 1999 until 2003, she was elected regional deputy at the Regional Assembly of Murcia. During that time, she was the president of the Commission of Health and Social Services. She was re-elected regional deputy in 2003 and 2007 and holds the title of vice-spokeswoman. This is currently her second term as Senator. She already held that position during the IX Term.

María Josefa Nicolás Martínez graduated in Journalism, Social Work and Human Resources.
