María Rosa de Haro Brito born in Los Llanos de Aridane (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands) on the 21st September 1968, is a Spanish senator for the constituency of La Palma (Tenerife) for the 10th term. She is a member of the People’s Party (PP).

Political Career[edit]

María Rosa de Haro Brito was elected as senator for the first time in the current term (10th). She is the acting spokesman of the professional education, sport and education Commission; she is also a member of the Justice Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Commission, Health and Social Services Commission. Before becoming a senator she was also a regional deputy for La Palma, a position she still holds (2011- ). María Rosa de Haro was also in charge of different public institutions; the general director of relationships with the justice administration, director of the schools of health and social services of Canarias and director of the Health Area of La Palma.

Education[edit]

María Rosa de Haro Brito holds a degree in law and has worked as a legal attorney. She is a substitute teacher in formation and work orientation.
