Thomas Bareiß

Thomas Bareiß (born February 15, 1975) is a German politician and a member of the Christian Democratic Union (Germany) (CDU).

Political Career[edit]

Bareiß joined the Young Union in 1990. He has been a member of the CDU since 1994. He has been a Member of the State Executive Committee of the CDU Baden-Württemberg since 2002. In addition to this, he is the area chairman of the CDU Württemberg-Hohenzollern since 2011. Bareiß has been a Member of Parliament(German Bundestag) and Vice President of the region Baden-Württemberg since 2005. He is an assessor on the board of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group since 2009. Bareiß was the Coordinator for energy policy of the CDU / CSU Parliamentary Group between 2010-2013. Currently he is also holding the position of lecturer for energy policy of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.

Education[edit]

Bareiß obtained his Abitur at the Wirtschaftsgymnasium in Albstadt- Ebingen in 1994. He was on his military service in the Air Force Southern Command in Meßstetten and in Heuberg from 1994-1995. Following his military service, he studied business administration at the University of Cooperative Education Ravensburg (Berufsakademie Ravensberg). He obtained a diploma in Business Administration (BA).
