Tamara Venrooy-van Ark is a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie), and since June the 17th 2010, she has been a member of the Dutch House of Representatives. She was born in The Hague on August 11th 1974.
Political Career[edit]
Tamara van Ark was leader of the Department of Social Affairs and Employment of the Rotterdam municipality from 2002 until 2004. From 2004 to 2009, she was head of the Nieuwekerk aan den IJssel municipality (of work&income, WMO, citizenship, health, youth and P&O). Then she was head of the Zuiderplas municipality (of finance, economic and social affairs and development Zuidplaspolder) from January to June 2010.
