Sophie Christine van Bijsterveld
Sophie Christine van Bijsterveld, born on the 20th of August 1960 in Baltimore, the United States, is a member of the Dutch Senate on behalf of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA).
Political Career
Before her political function in the Senate, Bijsterveld was a law teacher at different Dutch universities. Since 2008, she is a Board member of the Scientific Institute of the CDA.
Education
Bijsterveld studied Dutch law at the University of Utrecht from 1977 till 1983. She gained her PhD at the University of Tilburg in 1988.
