Sophie Christine van Bijsterveld
Sophie Christine van Bijsterveld, born on the 20th of August 1960 in Baltimore, the United States, is a member of the Dutch Senate on behalf of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA).
Political Career[edit]
Before her political function in the Senate, Bijsterveld was a law teacher at a number of Dutch universities. Since 2008, she has been a Board member of the Scientific Institute of the CDA.
Education[edit]
Bijsterveld studied Dutch law at the University of Utrecht from 1977 till 1983. She gained her PhD at the University of Tilburg in 1988.
