Alain Top
Alain Top was born on December 21st 1965 in Beveren. He is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Socialist Party (SP.A). He is also mayor of Harelbeke.
Political Career[edit]
Alain Top started his political career in 2007 when he became alderman for information and communication, ICT, E-Government, sports, museums and tourism in Harelbeke. After the local elections in 2012, he was appointed mayor of Harelbeke on January 1st 2014. Since the national elections on 25 May 2014, Alain Top has held a seat in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Socialists (SP.A).
Education[edit]
He fulfilled his military duty in the maritime power in Zeebrugge.
