Bezas Antonios
Antonios Bezas was born in Kerkyra in 1963.He is a Greek politician and a civil engineer. He was Elected as an MP in Thesprotia prefecture with New Democracy in elections of 2000, 2004, 2007, May 6, 2012 and June 17, 2012.
Political Career[edit]
Until 06.25.2013 he was Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, member of the Standing Committee on Social Affairs, the Committee report and the general balance of the state and control execution of the State budget, the Finance Committee of Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly Economic Cooperation Black Sea (PABSEC) and Deputy Hellenic-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Group.
He has served as President of the Student Association Thesprotians (1982-1986), Councillor of Igoumenitsa (1994-1998), Departmental Director of Thesprotia (1998-2000), first President of the Council of Thesprotia (1996-1998) and an elected member of the Technical Mission Epirus Chamber.
From 10.10.2005 to 9.10.2009 he was Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, responsible for tax and customs matters and public property. From 25/06/2013 to 10/06/2014 he was Deputy Minister of Health with responsibility for Primary Health Care, EOPYY, EKAV and the General Directorate of Health, and since 06.11.2014 he is entrusted as Deputy Minister for Labour, Social Security and Welfare.
Education Career[edit]
He has a Civil Engineer (Diploma, National Technical University),he has worked as a research associate in the Laboratory of Reinforced Concrete and Earthquake Engineering of NTUA.
