Bolot Otunbaev
Bolot Otunbaev is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Republic of San Marino and the Kingdom of Norway concurrently.
Political Career[edit]
Otunbaev began his career in 1993 serving as an Advisor for the Turkish Agency for International Cooperation (TICA); he progressed within the TICA and in 1996 he was appointed TICA’s Permanent Regional Representative to the Kyrgyz Republic. In 1998 Otunbaev entered the Foreign Service and served as the first secretary of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation. In 2003 Otunbaev became the Head of the Western countries and OSCE Department, for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic before becoming the Head of the Eastern countries Department in 2005. Otunbaev then went on to serve as a Minister-Counselor for the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey before becoming a council member of the Social democratic party of the Kyrgyz Republic (his last post before becoming an Ambassador).
