Cecile Kyenge
Cecile Kyenge was born in Kambove in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1983. She is an Italian politician who has been elected for the first time to be an MP of the Italian Chamber of Deputies in the seventeenth legislation.
Political Career[edit]
Cecile Kyenge was elected in the 2013 general elections in the Emilia Romagna region for the “Partito Democratico” and she was appointed as a member of the Commission for Foreign Affairs and minister without portfolio for integration. She resigned in 2014.
Education[edit]
Hon. Kyenge graduated in Medicine and Surgery with a specialization in ophthalmology at the Catholic University of Rome and Modena University. After her degree she worked as an ophthalmologist.
Special Achievements[edit]
Cecile Kyenge is thoroughly committed to help migrants by granting them health assistance, secure their jobs and easing the citizenship acquisition process; she helped create the International Bill for immigrants and organizing the first Italian celebration for migrants. She firmly believes in the promotion of Human Rights and believes in pair opportunities
