Cindy Franssen
Cindy Franssen was born on 30 January in Oudenaarde (Belgium). She is a member of the Belgian Senate as Community Senator for the Flemish Christian Democratic Party (CD&V).
Political Career[edit]
She started her political career as councillor of the province of Oost Vlaanderen from 2002 to 2007. Franssen was also chairman of the Public Office of Social Welfare in Wortegem-Petegem. She was councillor in Oudenaarde from 2006 to 2012. Since 2007, she has been a member of the Flemish Parliament for CD&V. She is currently Vice-president of the CD&V, a position she has held since 2011. She has been a Community Senator in the Belgian Senate since 2014.

She graduated in political science from the University of Gent.
