Diamanto Manolakou

Diamanto Manolakou was born in Piraeus in 1959. She is a Greek politician and agronomist. She was elected in the general elections of 2007 and 2009.

Political Career[edit]

She served as a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece in 1992. She also served as a member of the European Parliament for the period 2004-2008, member of the Confederal Group of the European United Left - Nordic Green Left, and member of the Bureau of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. Furthermore, she served as Substitute member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, and Member of the Delegation to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committees and the Delegation to the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly. Last but not least, she served as Substitute member of the Delegation to the EU-Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Joint Parliamentary Committee.

Education Career[edit]

She is a graduate of the Agricultural University of Athens in 1983. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Agricultural University of Athens in 1990.
