Dimitrios Papadimoulis

Dimitrios Papadimoulis was born in Athens and hails from Epirus. He is a Greek politician and civil engineer. He was elected MP with SYRIZA in 2009 and 2012.

Political Career[edit]

Dimitrios Papadimoulis became involved with the Left at the age of 18. He was a member of CC EFEE (1976-1979), the leadership of the "Rigas", and then the KKE interior and E.AR. He was elected as an MEP in 2004. In 2009 he was distinguished as one of the three most active MEPs in the European Parliament. He is Vice Chairman of the Eurogroup of the Left in the Council of Europe and resigned as a member of SYRIZA in order to participate as a candidate in the elections of May 2014, where he was elected as an MEP.

Education Career[edit]

He studies at Varvakeio school and studied Civil Engineering at NTUA.
