Ewa Wolak

Ewa Wolak – (born on 1st June 1960 in Wrocław, Poland) – is a Polish politician and Member of Parliament (V, VI and VII term).

Political Career[edit]

In 1998-2005 she was a councillor for the Wrocław city council. For two terms he chaired the Committee on Education and Youth, and participated in the work of the Committee of Municipal Infrastructure and Environmental Protection and the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Promotion of Wrocław. Since 1994 he has been a member of the "Solidarity" (Solidarność).

In 1998-2001 she was a member of the AWS Social Movement (Akcja Wyborcza Solidarność). In 2004 she joined the Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska). She was elected to Parliament in October 2005 from the list of Civic Platform as a representative for the district of Wrocław. In the V Term of Parliament he served on the Committee on Education, Science and Youth and Labour Committee, she also served as Vice-President of the Parliamentary group of Polish-Romanian. In the parliamentary elections in 2007, she received a mandate to the parliament for the second time. She was reelected in 2011. In the VII term of office has been a member of the Committee on Education, Science and Youth Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Forestry, and chair of the Group of Parliamentarians of Lower Silesia.

Education[edit]

She graduated in Geology from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Wrocław, as well as graduating from post-graduate studies in Mathematics and Computer Science at this University. She also took post-graduate studies at the School of Banking in management of education. She worked as a teacher of mathematics and was employed by the Board of Education as a senior inspector, as well as in the Teacher Training Centre in Wroclaw.
