Georgiou Lazaros Tsavdaridis
Georgiou Lazaros Tsavdaridis was born in Thessaloniki in 1970. He is a Greek politician and lawyer.
Political Career[edit]
He was elected MP in Imathia for the New Democracy Party at the elections of 2007. At the elections of June 17th 2012, he was elected first in votes as MP of Imathia for the New Democracy Party. In July 2012 he was elected Deputy Secretary of the Parliamentary Group of the New Democracy. From November 2012 he was Chairman of the Greek-Ukraine Friendship Group within the Hellenic Parliament, Vice-Chairman of the Greek-Kuwaitian Friendship Group of the Hellenic Parliament, and a member of the corresponding Friendship Groups with USA and Japan.
Education Career[edit]
Graduated from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with postgraduate studies in Public Law and Political Science at the Democritus University of Thrace, and currently he studies at the Department of History of European Culture in Greek’s Open University. He speaks Italian and English.
Notable Work[edit]
From 1998 to 2002 he served as a Municipality Counselor of Veria Imathia. In 2006 he was elected Prefectural Counselor of Imathia and was appointed as Vice – Prefect in the sections of Culture, Tourism, Education, Industry and Development. He served as a member of MAKI, ONNED, and of the DAP NDFK organizations of New Democracy Party. He was a member of NODE and the New Democracy Imathia from 1998 to 2004. From 2010 he was a Municipal Counselor and Head of the Municipal team Neos Dimos - Nea Arx of Veria Imathia. Additionally, he participated in several scientific conferences and forums.
