Henrik Sass Larsen

Henrik Sass Larsen was born May 29th 1966 in Virum. He led the Social Democratic Youth of Denmark from 1992 to 1996. He was a member of the Danish Parliament since 1980 where he led the committees on taxes and on finances as vice-chair and later chair of the Social Democratic group in the parliament. He has been minister for business and growth since 9 August 2013.

Political Career[edit]

He has been Minister for Business and Growth from August 9th 2013, a Member of the Public Accounts Committee from April 17th 2013 to August 9th 2013, a Political representative 2006-2011, finance policy spokesperson 2005-2006, fiscal policy spokesperson 2004-2005 and political-economic representative 2001-2004, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Social Democratic group 2012-13 and subsequently vice-chairman 2005-2006.


Education[edit]

He graduated with a BSc in business economics from Roskilde University and completed his Higher Preparatory Examination from Greve Upper Secondary School in 1986. He attended Mosede School from 1976 until 1983.


Notable Work[edit]

He was a Member of Parliament for the Social Democratic Party in Zealand greater constituency from November 13th 2007, in Roskilde County constituency November 20th 2001 -November 13th 2007, and in Copenhagen County constituency October 1st 2000 -November 20th 2001. He was a Temporary Member of Parliament for the Social Democratic Party in Copenhagen and then for the County constituency June 16th -June 22nd 1999 and January 19th -March 21st 1999. He was a Candidate for the Social Democratic Party in Køge nomination district from 1999 and in Gentofte nomination district 1996-1999 and later became a Member of the executive committee of the Young Social Democrats (DSU) 1988-1992 and then chairperson 1992-1996.
