Jan Ardanowski

Jan Ardanowski – (born on 11th February 1961 in Czerników, Poland) is a Polish politician, from 2005 to 2007 Vice-Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, from 2007 to 2010 advisor to President Lech Kaczyński on rural areas and agriculture and a Member of Parliament (VII term).

Political Career[edit]

Between 1992 and 2002 he was Vice-President of the National Agricultural Advisory Council and between 2003 and 2007 he presided in the National Council of Agricultural Chambers in Warsaw.

Since 1993 he has worked for the PSL (Polskie Stronnictwo Ludowe). In the period of 1998-2002 on behalf of the Solidarity Electoral Action (Akcja Wyborcza Solidarmość) he was a member of the council of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region. Since 2001 he has been associated with Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość). From 2005 to 2007 he was Vice-Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Since January 2008 he has been an adviser on rural areas and agriculture to President Lech Kaczyński. In 2010 he was again elected to the regional council.

In the 2011 elections he obtained a parliamentary seat as a candidate of the Law and Justice list in a Toruń district.

Education[edit]

He graduated in 1985 from the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Technology and Agriculture in Bydgoszcz, after which he began working as a farm manager.
