Janusz Cichoń
Janusz Cichoń was born on the 7th of January 1957 in Bytom. He is a Polish politician and academic teacher. Since 2007 he was a Parliament Member, from 2013 he became the State Secretary in the Polish Finance Ministry.
Political Career[edit]
From 1996 to 1998 he was a vice mayor of Olsztyn city and from 1998 to 2001 he was a mayor. From 2002 to 2006 he was part of management of the warmińsko – mazurski region. He became a member of parliament in 2007, at 2013 he became State Secretary in Ministry of Finance.
Education[edit]
Janusz graduated studying Agricultural Economy at Akademia Rolniczo – Techniczna in Olsztyn and he completed his Ph.D. in economy at Warsaw School of Economics. Between 1981 and 1984 he was working as a main specialist in Państwowy Gospodarstwo Rolne in Wydmiany. In 1985 he started work as a teacher at Warmińsko – Mazurski University. Janusz Cichoń has participated as a lecturer in MPA Programme (in cooperation with University in Minnesota) and MBA Programme (in cooperation with New Brunswick University). He is a lecturer at Wyższa Szkoła Informatyki i Ekonomii w Olsztynie, where he published over 50 articles about demography and local development. He is a President of Polskie Towarzystwo Ekonomiczne w Olsztynie.
