Kamal Izidor Shaker
Kamal Izidor Shaker was born on 5 October 1982 in Domžale, Slovenia. He is a member of the Miro Cerar Party (SMC; Slovene: Stranka Mira Cerarja) and a member of the National Assembly (Državni zbor Republike Slovenije).
Political Career[edit]
Shaker first got into politics when he was appointed the position of the Project Coordinator in the Student Club Domžale in 2001. From 2004 to 2006 he was the deputy chairperson of the Association of Slovenian student clubs (ŠKIS). Further, between 2008 and 2013 he was the chairpeson of the National Youth Council of Slovenia. Since 2010 Shaker has been a councilor of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Domžale. From 2013 to 2014 he was project coordinator at he Youth Network MaMa. Shaker has been a member of the National Assembly since 2014. He is a member of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Science and Sport, a member of the Committee on Foreign Policy, and the chairperson of the Committee on European Union Affairs.

Shaker graduated Rudolfa Maistra high school in Kamnik, Slovenia.
